As read at the 2014 GARBC Conference in St. Petersburg, Fla.:

The gospel is preeminent in every phase of life for the child of God. Paul, the apostle, expresses a believer’s sentiment in Philippians 1 as he reflects with anticipation in verses 20–27, “[It is] my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. . . . Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ.”

Our gatherings at each annual conference are times of sweet fellowship. How much sweeter will be the great gathering as we reassemble in glory!

As I read the names of these 56 faithful servants whom our Lord has graciously promoted to glory, I would ask that family members and/or those who served closely with them in ministry please stand as their loved one’s name is read.
