NORTH EAST, Maryland—Members of the 2017 GARBC Conference committee recently met in the beautiful setting of Sandy Cove Ministries Center to plan the association’s annual conference to be held on site in June 27-30. In a meeting room overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, John Greening, GARBC national representative, opened with a devotional challenge from Philippians 2:19-21, thanking the local committee for their commitment to facilitating the conference. David Burman, Sr., DelMarVA Baptist Fellowship representative, and Andrea Gower, GARBC Conference coordinator, led the committee in discussing details and making assignments for the upcoming conference. The group enthusiastically contributed to the planning of the conference, volunteering to lead various committees. George Fultz, Sandy Cove representative, graciously provided lunch for the group, followed by a tour of the facilities.  (See site map that details lodging and land/water activities.) Local committee members include Pastor David Talley, Grace Baptist Church, Hurlock, Maryland; Rev. Dick Blades, Calvary Baptist Church, Georgetown, Delaware; Pastor Ron Faith and Carl Gibbs, Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland; and Pastor Jared Mitchell, Temple Baptist Church, Glen Burnie, Maryland. After meeting the courteous Sandy Cove staff and experiencing the lovely facilities on the scenic bay shore, the group left encouraged, ready to work on details for the upcoming conference. Be sure to register for the conference. Reserve your room by calling Sandy Cove, mentioning you are with the GARBC Conference, at 800.234.2683 or booking online.
