Packing_inlineFriday, July 3, 2015. The buzz dwindles as attendees, their spirits light and eyelids heavy, head for the airport. Back at the DoubleTree hotel, exhibitors hurriedly pack up their displays. The conference is over, but the truths proclaimed from the pulpit this week will endure forever.

On Monday, as the pace of life returns to normal and the drudgery of daily routine kicks in, it will be important to remember that Christians have been united to Christ. In Him, our freedom, fellowship, and future are secure. We have been crucified with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life. Just as Christ ascended into Heaven, we too await our ascension at the Rapture, our blessed hope. In the meantime, as history’s arrow continues to trend downward and we anticipate the difficulties of life crashing down upon us like breakers against the shore, we can respond with grace, submission, and confidence, knowing that we display in and through our lives the glorious excellence of God’s pristine character, and proclaim His marvelous grace to a world lying in darkness.

“May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever” (1 Peter 5:10, 11).
