Wilson- Inline“What are we doing right and do we need to work on?” wondered Dee Plog of Faith Baptist Church of Amherst, Ohio, had on her mind while attending the workshop “Treating Teachers as VIPs.”  Led by RBP U.S. Field Coordinator Alan Wilson, the session addressed the importance of properly recruiting and resourcing teachers for Sunday School.

Wilson said it’s important to handpick teachers and treat the educational system as something special. In addition, providing quality curriculum is critical to an effective Sunday School program. When resourcing your teachers, try to meet every reasonable request from your teachers.  Rooms size, traffic flow, even things such as kitchen and restroom location are also important.  Wilson concluding saying that well-thought-out plans for education, teacher recruitment, and future growth will generate excitement and positive benefits.
