Second Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
Gary and Lois Moosey have dedicated the past 18 years to pouring their lives into others. Gary is pastor of church ministry at Starkey Road Baptist Church, Seminole, Fla., where he and his wife, Lois, mentor men and women for life in the ministry. While we all know that we influence people, Gary and Lois take that idea a step further. Starkey Road Baptist Church has intentionally brought interns, apprentices, and their wives to the church yearly.
Many men and women who are in the ministry today would say that their lives were blessed and their ministries are stronger because of the internship and apprentice program at Starkey Road Baptist Church.
Gary says that a church doesn’t have to be large to start an internship program. The benefits are real and tangible for both parties. He says, “Investing in and shaping the life of new church leaders has blessed my life immensely.”
