GARBC Conference: Ready to Worship the Lord!

By June 22, 2012September 7th, 2023No Comments

The GARBC Conference officially begins in just a couple of days, but it is already off to a terrific start. A great deal of prayer has preceded the conference. As the regional planning committee met throughout the year, they prayed for the Lord’s blessing. June 20 marked a Day of Prayer for the conference, which included an online prayer meeting. This prayer initiative, hosted by Pastor Don Roe and the conference prayer committee, brought organizers, speakers, workshop leaders, and attendees together, committing the conference week to the Lord. (View prayer requests given during online prayer time. ) The prayer time set the right frame of mind for heading into the conference that will focus on being an “Authentic Church.” Continue to pray as people travel and head to northeast Pennsylvania for this year’s conference.

Monday, June 25, marks the official beginning. It’s not too late to make plans to come! Events begin with the Council of Eighteen meeting at 8:00 a.m., in which observers representing state associations will participate. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. The kick-off general session is at 7:00 p.m. featuring speaker Rev. Bill Park, preceded by a prologue by John Greening, GARBC national representative. The week will be a time of focusing on God’s Word and His plan for the local church. Plan now to attend.
