Teams of volunteers have been working around the clock to prepare the campus of Faith Baptist Bible College for the GARBC Annual Conference that begins today. Originally planned for Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the conference was moved to Ankeny in the aftermath of severe flooding which submerged downtown Cedar Rapids and shut down many parts of the city.

James Maxwell, president of Faith Baptist Bible College, suspected this might be the case as he left for vacation two weeks ago, so he placed a quick phone call to GARBC leaders, inviting them to move the conference to the college. And while he was gone, teams of volunteers swarmed the campus to prepare it for the newly invited guests.
