My name is John Scally. I have had the privilege of serving the Lord in vocational ministry for over 25 years. The first 17 years in ministry I was a youth pastor, and the last 9 years I have been the lead pastor of Emmanuel Baptist of Flint, Michigan. I am a graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin. I have been married to my awesome wife Tami for 22 years, and we have three incredible children: Zachary, Hope, and Victoria. I am a huge University of Michigan and Detroit Red Wings fan, and I enjoy pizza, pasta, and Pepsi. My heart is fixed on evangelism as we have recently as a church launched our first site in a nearby community. I lead with passion and purpose, and God receives all of the glory!
Clare Jewell has been married to his wife Donna for more than 40 years. They currently reside in Salem, Oregon. They have four daughters and 13 grandchildren scattered across the eastern portion of the United States.
Prior to joining with ABWE and the GARBC, Clare was the Senior Pastor of Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Auburn, Indiana for more than 20 years. From 1988-1993, He was the Administrator of Grace Baptist Christian School.
Clare completed his BA in Pastoral Studies at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from Eastern Michigan University. Currently, Clare is in the final stage of completing a Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Leadership at Corban University.
Along with preaching and teaching, Clare loves to golf, hike, ski and cheer for the Michigan State Spartans!
Paul and Martha Davis have served in pastoral ministry since 1989. In their lifetime of ministry, they have led church plants, Christian schools and dynamic ministry teams. Additionally, they have given oversight to children’s, youth and college/career ministries. They enjoy pace-setting leadership as well as serving as educators, conference speakers and ministry trip facilitators.
In 2017, Paul became the seventh President of ABWE. Today, Paul and Martha are working hard to meet, support and encourage the ABWE global team, striving to embolden gospel-centered churches to become sending and supporting churches, connecting God-enabled donors to the visionary projects of our fields, and humbly working to build, heal and reignite relationships with ABWE partners past, present and future.
The Davises have four adult children who are maturing believers in Jesus Christ. Landon works as an accountant, Kierstin is employed in private education. Rachael is working as a consultant and is in grad school, and their youngest son Ian is a recent college graduate who works in finance.
Ken Floyd and his wife Sharon have been married for over 45 years. The Floyds served in pastoral ministry for over 25 years in three different GARB churches. Ken has served since 2006 as the Executive Ministry Director of the Michigan Association of Regular Baptist Churches (MARBC), a network of approximately 175 churches in the State of Michigan. The Floyds will conclude their 16-year ministry with the MARBC at the end of this year.
A humorous aspect of God’s plan to have Ken and Sharon involved with Michigan churches is the fact that they are native Buckeyes and very committed fans of The Ohio State University. This has led to a lot of fun moments as they minister throughout Michigan – well, mostly humorous! Ken frequently finds himself having to encourage beleaguered Spartan and Wolverine pastors after another football loss to the mighty Buckeyes. He is blessed to join Spartan Clare Jewell and Wolverine John Scally as a conference speaker.
Their Floyds have one daughter, Allison, who was a yearly participant at GARBC Conferences growing up in the Floyd home. One of her favorite conference activities was to harass certain Council of 18 members, especially U of M grad Brad Quick. Allison is a member of a GARBC church in Canton, Ohio, along with her husband (Taylor Helmick) and five children.
Besides preaching weekly in association churches, Ken coaches pastors, conducts seminars pertaining to spiritual leadership, prayer, pastoral transition and search processes, and conflict resolution. He is the author of two ministry books published by Regular Baptist Press, several ministry-related articles featured in the Baptist Bulletin. Ken received his education at Cedarville College and Grace Theological Seminary. He is also certified as a ministry and church revitalization consultant through Church Consultation University. He enjoys assisting plateaued and declining churches to discover their God-given, biblical potential.
