Staff members kicked off the 2014 GARBC Conference ahead of time with a dinner on Sunday night, June 22. It was a great time of fellowshipping, laughing, and regrouping after making the journey to St. Petersburg, Fla., and spending the weeks leading up to the conference scrambling to meet deadlines.

John Greening gave an overview of the conference theme, “The Essential Gospel,” underscored the goal of serving our association through ministering to attendees, and then led in a time of prayer for the week ahead. After dinner, Andrea Gower, conference coordinator, escorted the staff on a tour, pointing out the locations of events and recapping the schedule.

Then the staff went right to work, some unloading and unpacking the truck while the others reviewed the game plan for sharing the conference with those who can’t make it to St. Petersburg. That plan includes the use of the following venues:

  • Regular Baptist Web Community that brings the preaching sessions to personal computers. Registration is free of charge.
  • Galleries that capture the week’s events through photos.
  • Coverage on all the latest happenings.
  • Announcements of new initiatives.

New GARBC ministry websites make it possible to deliver enhanced conference coverage this year, pulling information in a more efficient way to bring you resources, commentary, and news. Keep checking back to stay up to date on the latest conference happenings!
